Sometimes I'll spend a few hours talking with kids about my experiences as an actor. 350 professional shows and thousands of live performances have given me a lot of material when speaking to kids about the life of an actor. It's also fun to talk about process. There are so many ways to create a performance. To bring a character to life. I talked a lot about boldness, and fearlessness, and putting aside your fear of making mistakes. These kids are going to be performing 'Peter Pan' for their community in Wilmington, OH. I try to be encouraging, but I also want then to be honest about acting as a job....a profession, and the hard work that goes into pursuing this very challenging life. We laughed a lot, and cried a bit too.
